Last week’s winter storm brought ice that I’ve not seen here in quite some time. I remember when I was a kid, my dad’s lakes froze over enough to walk on once. This was nowhere near that severe, but still neat to see icicles hanging from the roof and piles of sleet in the flower beds. There are places in northern Mississippi that still have snow on the ground, and it has not snowed there in a week and a half. I would say this in very unusual weather for Mississippi, but it happened last February as well.
Maybe this is a new trend.
